A couple of what?

2006-12-01 18:24:35 · answer #1 · answered by ♥ ♥ C.J. ♥ ♥ 5 · 0 0

Fairly comfortable, depending on if it was getting in the way of their work or not. I worked at a camp this summer and quite a few of the staff members were either dating or engaged. The ones that were discreet-- minimal PDA and other such behavior-- made the rest of the staff feel comfortable being around them. It was the ones who were always together and always snuggling that got in trouble. As half of a couple, I understand the urge to cuddle with your honey, but for other peoples' sake I've come to understand that that's better left for a more private setting than work.

I am ok with it as long as everyone remains professional and they are able to seperate their relationship from their work environment. I've actually worked with 3 couples so I am speaking from experience. One couple I worked with was in a corporate environment and they were completely professional. This is a great example because there were two couples. The other time was in a small business with very few employees that my mom's friend worked at. My mom's friend and her boyfriend worked there and they were so immature, always bringing their fights to work and it was incredibly uncomfortable. Get this the other couple was the president and owner who was having an affair with his vice president and they were a pleasure to work with. In highschool I worked with my boyfriend, I was his manager. He actually cheated on me and everything remained professional. And I met my current boyfriend at the corporate job. Actually now that I think of it I've worked with a lot of couples...and it doesnt matter unless its directly affecting me.

I would feel like the 3rd wheel, especially if they act too friendly. But if they act just like acquiescences then it would be that bad. Try to become friends with them. And if they don't have a professional demeanor then talk to them about it, but do it strategically. Thinnk before you act.

I think it would be fine, but if you are concerned you should talk to them honestly about it at the start.

It depends on their level of professionalism.
