Is Bush in a state of denial?

Yes, Bush tricked us.

Afghanistan and Iraq were already in the Stone Age. Actually, Saddam was one of the few people who had ever been successful at keeping all the tribes of Iraq in line - when the US invaded it gave all the warring tribes a reason to go back to war against each other for power.

Any person who read a history book could have easily predicted the result we have now.

You have to ask yourself why we did what we did if we have so many supposedly brilliant people advising the president.

Have you forgotten that after the Muslims destroyed the W.T,C, the country was crying for blood , the intelligence service we pay so dearly for gave our president the information and it was presented to congress and a vote was given and that vote said invade Iraq Dem's and Rep;s all voted for invading Iraq and Afghanistan, so don' t blame Bush only, Congress and our intelligence gathering service should share the blame mostly the intelligence dept as they took the word of the Israeli Mossads word for it and Israel sure wanted Iraq out of the way, so now that you know do you still blame Bush?????

No, I think the point is that they don't have to. The U.S. constitution gives the president the authority to commit US troops to military "engagements" without the consent of congress. The President has many more powers than many people think, and our opinions are irrelevant to them. Republican or Democrat, that's just the way it is.

As I see it, G.W. Bush had it on his agenda to depose Saddam, and he cooked the intelligence to make a compelling case for us to invade Iraq. I think we could have bided our time and taken Saddam out with a smart bomb. Then we could have selected an Iraqi expatriate to support in a coup d'etat. In short, we could have done it the smart way, not the Bush way.

Bush thinks Jesus is coming back tomorrow or next week, so he wants to make sure that the holy land is safe for the return.
Also for the oil.
