I care very much about wether or not I Learn the material. I don,t give a rat's anus what my mark is!
I should say I'm retired now but have never stopped going to school

I love Sid's answer... it's so true, learning is what's important (and also what's interesting and useful) whereas grades are just some stupid letter on a piece of paper... however, I still work really hard to get good grades even though they bring me no pleasure... this is at university, not school (all my school grades did for me was get me into uni) - as it is worth it in that my grades have allowed me really useful scholarships and also to get a summer job in the department of my major, which as an undergrad is an amazing and really useful opportunity - so although they're meaningless really, they can open doors...

I make 3x what the "shop jocks" who have a job make now. Just depends on where you want to be when you're 70. Retired and seeing the world, or struggling to make your trailer payments. But, seriously, do with your life what you think will make you happy, and don't complain if it doesn't work out the way you want it to. You control your own destiny - just figure out what you're good at.

I finished my school a long time ago but took it seriously enough till I got my degree

I do. I have a 4.0 gpa in graduate school, and hope to graduate in 1.5 semesters with honors :) Even if it doesnt matter to my employer, it matters to me.

i have to since im in AVID i really want to go to a college and get accepted.... anyway i want to get most of my classes to honors. already have english and world history. now i need science and pre-algebra
