Exactly !!! If we were brainwashed, how would we know that we are?
It takes some kind of enlightened, unbrainwashed person to tell us these things.
And once one of those condescending people to tell me that I am brainwashed, the first thing I think to myself is that the person telling me that is the one who is brainwashed.
Eye of the beholder. Don't listen to them.

Most folks who are brainwashed normally don't wonder if they are brainwashed or not, they just eat, breathe and live, I suppose... some people are just born plain stupid, and others have common sense. It's a general thing all around the world.

It depends on your definition of brainwashed. If your definition is that no one knows what the truth is, because the media doesn't report the truth, then maybe. However, my definition of brainwashed means where a "normal" person who is in society and who holds relatively normal views is taken in by a person or group who then changes that person's behavior in a significant way, so much so that the person does whatever the controller wants that person to do. That doesn't really appy to society as a whole, because society governs what normal is, so you can't use the term when society as a whole is the definition of normal.

I think most people who never vote outside party lines are somewhat brainwashed. I think the media and many politicians try to brain wash us but we pretty much stick to what we believe in. I also think that we disrespect the fact that people really can make up their own minds when it comes politics.

Our children are being brainwashed in school now that God cannot be mentioned, prayed to, crosses can't be worn. One girl got suspended for carrying a Bible and reading silently during her lunch period. She didn't preach or talk about religion to anyone. We can teach our children a lie about evolving from apes, but we can't say God. That's sick. That's the cultist attitude of the liberals. That's brainwashing.

Well it would be unrealistic to say that we dont have a particular bias and point of view in the U.S., but considering we have the freest media, religion, and speech laws in the United States we certainly are not as influenced by our government as any other nation, plus we are introduced to different points of view in the United States every day, proof of this is this entire forum. In China you are not allowed to view Wikipedia for god sakes.
