Definitely the console, because you will have 2 gaming machines. Sitting in front of the PC while playing games for a long period is not very fun. Games on console are more fun because you be on your favorite couch and you can also play with friends on a big screen tv.
If you upgrade your PC now, chance are you will need to do it agin in a few months just to be able to play the latest games and it's more expensive to upgrade your pc than buying a console. A console will have a life of about 5 years before a new one came out and that's a good investment.

PC RULES! a souped up PC always RULES! that guy above is a complete moron to betray his PC! Consoles are CRAP!
I say burn the dough on the upgrade and to hell with console!

Go for the console.....That way you won't bog down your pc with all that extra stuff....just slows it down. I've played some pretty cool pc flight sims etc., but in my opinion they're not worth the hassle.

go for console cause you will save money and later when you have the money upgade your pc
