When I think of Egypt, I think of HOME. I was born and raised in Egypt. I have family and friends there. I've been in the states for a long time now, but Egypt will always be home. There's a saying in Egypt that says "if you drink from the nile, you would always want to go back" and that's so true. People who go there to visit, only see few things, and they only see what they want to see. It's different when you live there. I lived there almost half of my life. Egypt is not just about the pyramids, the sphinx, and the ancient Egyptian history. Egypt was also mentioned in the bible. The culture is so deep. People still hold on to their morals and their beliefs. People care for eachother more. Your neighbor would always be there in time of need. Don't get me wrong, I love living in the U.S, I'm an American Citizen. I'm very loyal to the U.S. But I believe being Egyptian is what made me who I'm now.

i am egyptian, and the first thing that comes to my mind is the
pyramids and the camels and the desert !! although egypt is not like that at all

the reason for this is all the media influence when making ads about egypt on TV or newspapers or magazines, all the post cards....etc.

they all have the same picture of the pyramids and the deserts and the camels! thats why people don't imagine egypt as a country with hotels and cars and basic living standards!
