I expect our energy supply will become truly clean and renewable very soon.
I expect permanent colonies on the moon to begin in the next few decades
I expect interstellar exploration to begin in this century, with an accelerating ramp encircling the moon.
Most importantly, I expect unemployment and poverty to be completely eradicated through an improved understanding of economics (but does economics fit your question?)

Depends on how old you are. I'd say in the next fifty years you'll not see any radical new technologies unless it's good for big business. Remember, corporations and government controls science, so if that science either doesn't make alot of money or gives government an advantage, you'll never see it, so don't expect some new technology that will change the world and benefit all man kind.... for cheep.

Artificial intelligence, end to many diseases, increased lifespans possibly, a lot more focus on the space program, and so on. As a whole I think the world will become more united (and tolerant of each other) as information technology like the Internet becomes more high-tech and widespread. Hopefully we'll also get the robot butlers and flying cars we've been promised. Great question.
