x^2 + (1/6)x = 1/3
x^2 + (1/6)x + (1/12)^2 = 1/3 + 1/144
(x + 1/12)^2 = 49/144
x + 1/12 = ± 7/12
x = 1/2, -2/3
x + 6x^2 - 2 = (x - 1/2)(x + 2/3)

x^2 + 8x = -3
x^2 + 8x + 3 = 0
x = - 4 ± √(16 - 3)
x = - 4 ± √13
B)
(- 4 + √13)^2 + 8(- 4 + √13) =? -3
