I have lived in a suburban area a long time and feel a longing to get away from here to some place more rural so I can have some breathing room. Thougjhts? Suggestions?

the suburbs are the worst. You're better off in the city close to everything, or out in the country with acres and acres to roam. As long as you can still make a living out in the sticks, go for it.

Hi,

I would say think about why you want to go rural and what you are looking for in that particular area. When you go rural you are very spread out but you must consider how far away is far enough or close enough. Meaning: where is the local supermarket, how far do I have to travel to get gas, etc. Having moved from the City to the Suburbs I feel it was a good choice but I had to think of the pros and cons of living in the Suburbs and what I was giving up.
