because same-sexes attract each other naturally too, in some people. its all just a matter of preference, and what we find ourselves naturally attracted to.

Because their brains are wired to find the opposite sex attractive, just as some brains are wired to find the same sex, or both sexes, attractive.
Neither of these orientations, heterosexual or homosexual, is more or less "natural" than the other. Indeed, same-sex pairing has been documented in over 1,500 species, which seems rather definitive proof that it is quite natural.

Mental wiring... You just see them and you know. By golly, I have totally no idea why I get attracted to women, and some men, even if they are just in magazines. It must have something to do more with mental wiring than pheromones... I mean I can't smell them if they are on paper.
