People need to learn how to depend on one another, which is the definition of a symbiotic relationship. A good one benefits both, much as we depend on God and He depends on us :)

I find dependence restricting and coercive.
From my viewpoint, for dependence to be positive, a large amount of trust and communication must be happening. It must be truly symbiotic... a giving and taking of different things that each party involved is pleased with.
All to often dependence is mistaken as an indicator of trust...
