She should be taken to the ER silly as it sounds anything that could remove the wax (hope you didn't) like baby oil will make the burn worse!!!! The ER can evaluate & give a proper antibactrail cream or ointment burns should always be treated serious also these could permently scare her beautuifull little face.

I wouldn't just be concerned about the child's hair. I would take the baby to the emergency room at the nearest hospital like right away. IT IS HOT WAX, not food or something like that that is on the child! Your friends baby could suffer burns from that. Have you ever spilled hot wax or gotten it on your finger? I have and have even had it blister up before. Can you imagine what it can do to a baby?
HAVE YOUR FRIEND TAKE THE BABY TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM AND DON'T WAIT. The baby may be okay, but needs to be checked out.
SINCE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO FOR HER SKIN, DON'T PUT ANYTHING ON HER. YOU MIGHT JUST MAKE IT WORSE!

If the baby is burnt and screaming, then you should go to the emergency room. But if the baby is fine with no crying or blisters forming, then place cold rags on her face constantly. Try taking a comb when the wax drys to get it out of the hair then wash it really good.

NOT GOO! This includes butter, toothpaste, and medical creams like antibiotic ointment. No matter what anyone tells you, NEVER PUT GOO ON A BURN! Even if my other advice is faulty, it is the GOO RULE that I am SURE of! It traps the heat inside and makes the burn WORSE!
RIGHT NOW- peel the wax off her skin. Wash cold water over the burn for 15 minutes- no less. (It can just be cool water, especially since you don't want her head to get too cold. The idea is that it takes the heat away, because without cooling, the burn will continue to burn because the heat is still inside.) Oh, and don't apply ice directly to the skin because that may cause frostbite. Cool water is the best.
Don't be in a rush to get it out of her hair. It will cool and solidify, then you can just gently pick it off.

I've heard that a tea bag (used) can help prevent blistering when placed on a burn. In conjunction with ice, it works even better. As for the hair, I would think that you should either 1) let it dry and then comb it out or 2) use a hairdryer and pull it out when it's soft. Best of luck!

Noxema for the blistering - I know it sounds crazy but it works - I've used it before to prevent blistering from sunburns. As for her hair... not quite sure. I've removed wax from carpet by placing a paper towel over the wax and then ironing the paper towel... maybe you can figure out a way to make that work for her. Good luck. And don't forget to give her lots of kisses

Calm down, she'll probably be okay. Candle wax has an extremely low melting point. Unless you're seeing something contradictory to the baby just getting some melted wax on her skin, just put a cool, wet rag on her little face and, when she's calm, shampoo her hair.

we are big toothpaste believers.. I don't know that it will make it NOT blister but I doubt the candle wax will blister anyways. But the toothpaste pulls out the heat and leaves a "cooling sensation"
I know it sounds weird but it really does work ..

well liz i would say that use ice cubes and well put the ice cubes in a hand towl and run it over her head then the wax will harden and well then it will get off her head easier and to prevent blistering i would holnestly put honey on it whatever you do dont put toothpast on it. that will eat away the skin dont do that. thats so dangerous worst that wax
