We have about 30% educated people and the rest are either semi literate or illiterate. The vote bank politics banks on illiterate and semi literate. The percentage of vote casting is only 55 to 60.
The election commissioner and the Government has ensured that the majority of educated people do not vote as they are at places other than their constituency. So the political who has his fixed vote bank is not worried. standing example is the Gandhi family which have their pocket constituencies of Amethi and Raibareli. Unless educated voters are given power to vote through e-mail(which can be easily ensured by a coded private number to each individual) this problem will never be solved.

Our voters are blind believers of political parties. They never assess the individual value of the candidate. Whether he may any ex bandit, under world don or an absconding criminal. We have elected leaders like Phoolan Devi, Shibu Soren and so on. And our public are going to elect Abu Salem, wife of Veerappan and some decoits of Chambal area.
Dear friend, we are helpless, we will have to see and bear all these.
OK, be PATRIOTIC.
