life is bounded by a wall, it is in us to limit this walls or extend it.........explain.!?

I believe it means we shape our own life. We always put a wall around us, kind of protection. We can either limit the wall, have a closed life. For example, keep people at an arm distance, just keep to ourselves. Or we extend it, by being open, outgoing, adventerous.
