Not long, the acid content of your stomach probably killed it. Its probably well digested by now. Or on its way to being.

medically speaking you are fine and 99% right now the Koi is in your intesine looking like nothing but a piece of poop. By the time the koi hit the acid in your stomach it was dissolved. You dont need to throw up or worry because you will poop it out tomorrow and it will look like nothiing but a brown blob just like when you eat a shrimp or chicken it doesnt come out looking like chicken or shrimp its just poop. Anything digestible leaves your stomach very quickly, its the travelling through your miles of intestine that can take awile. So happy pooping!!!!!! and next time put a goldfish in your brothers cup and tell him to watch his poooo for the next couple days

all these people are wrong... the koi will live in your stomach indefinitely. All the food you eat, it will eat... it'll poop in you stomach and live a long time. A koi can live for 200 years so it'll out live you. And they get big too.. So you'll walk around like you're pregnate.

And If you swallow another koi, they will mate and have baby kois.... The baby kois will come out of your pooper.

I am pretty sure it died when it hit the coffee cup so it probably wasn't alive when you swallowed it.
