Go to the NASA website and look for information on astronaut qualifications. I know you'll have to finish school and go on to college, but you'll need to look there to see what fields are needed.
Keep in mind that those needs will change as we get a permanent presence in space. If you are under 15 now, you might want to study hydroponics as your secondary area. If a good sized ship or space station gets built, they'll need people trained in hydroponics and air production as well as the needs they currently have.

Requirements for entering space will soon become less and less stringent. A deep secret hope is that I too will one day leave the surly bounds of earth. I probably wont be an astronaut per se, but in about 50 years missions will be big enough, that additional personnel will be needed to take care of the officers on board. I would gladly clean space sucker toilets just to be in space, but by then I would be 76 years old, and i'm sure they will have super young and highly qualified nasa janitors for that.

Either you have to become a top scientist in a related field, or go into the navy or air force, become a pilot and try to transfer into the space program. Or become a billionaire so you can buy a ride with the Russians. Or invest with Rutan and go in a private craft.

Well, I think if you go to Space Mountain at Disney World, you have to be about 4'6", but I don't think there is an age requirement, so you should be in good shape... Or you could have years of training with drilling for oil like Bruce Willis in Armageddon... that might help too!

There are two shortcuts: 1st become military fighter pilot and get engineering degree then apply to the NASA. 2nd pursue physics or biology or chemical major and get some advanced degree in the feild then apply for NASA.
