She did not propose but she asked the question with a straight face. I asked all my family and friends that are married about this and it was the guys who asked. I don't want to break tradition.

It may not be common (to my knowledge, statistics are not available), but I don't see anything "wrong" with a girl asking a guy "Will you marry me"?

Traditions are culturally passed down from one generation to the next. Traditionally, brides who were not virgins did not wear white at their marriage. Today, pregnant brides walk down the aisle wearing white. Traditionally, one did not wear white after Labor Day. Today, white may be worn year round. Traditionally, women stayed home and took care of the children and "her man". What happened to that one?

If you don't want to break "tradition", why haven't you asked the girl to marry you?

Leap year it happens...My mom asked my father to marry her, he said yes obviously...LOL

not in my book...but i guess times have really changed from the old fashion vaules i was taught.
