Read the answers to your question but no one mentioned that if your "yeast infection" keeps coming back, most likely it's not yeast. It could be a bacterial inbalance. These two problems tend to mimic one another and are often misdiagnosed. Ask your doctor if this is what it could be, he'll give you a cream to insert for five days - different from the yeast cream. You can't buy it over the counter. Also, in the States they sell something called RePHfresh. At's a gel insert. It helps to maintain the bacterial levels in the Vagina.
As for the sore, well, that could be something else. Same spot all the time? That, you will have to get checked out by the doc as well.
Good luck.

A doctor told me when I was having yeast infection problems that he would treat me with meds (for the 3rd time) and if it didn't work, he would check my husband. According to him, couples can pass it back and forth.
Also drink cranberry juice. It will help.
Also, it sounds like you may have two different issues. I never experienced sharp pain before I knew I had a yeast infection or after I was treated. You need to see your gynecologist.

I've had my share of yeast infections. But that pain isn't something I have ever experienced with a yeast infection they tend to itch and burn. Also if you suspect you have a yeast infection don't have unprotected sex with your husband you can pass it along to him. You might be re-infecting each other. About the lower abdominal pain I would make an appt. to see your Dr. there might be something else going on in there.

Have your husband to get a check up. You may be passing this infection back and forth between you. Diabetes can be at the bottom of chronic yeast infections..

How can I avoid getting another infection?
Here are some things you can do to help prevent another yeast infection:
* Don't wear tight-fitting or synthetic-fiber clothes.
* Wear cotton panties.
* Don't wear pantyhose or leotards every day.
* Use your blow dryer on a low, cool setting to help dry your genital area after you bathe or shower and before getting dressed.
* Wipe from front to back after using the toilet. This may help prevent the bacteria that normally live in your rectum from getting into your vagina.
* Change out of wet swimsuits or other damp clothes as soon as you can.
Don't douche or use feminine hygiene sprays, deodorant sanitary pads or tampons, or bubble bath, and avoid using colored or perfumed toilet paper. These items seem to affect the balance of acidity of the vagina and can lead to symptoms of a yeast infection.
Does my sexual partner need to be treated?
Although it is rare, you can transmit a yeast infection to your partner through sexual intercourse. If your partner begins to develop symptoms of a yeast infection, talk to a doctor about treatment options.
Here are some links about it that should help you out:
