I'm a freshmen at college and i don' t know any body here. I'm not really shy, just quiet. I can't seem to make any friends. I guess because nobody seems to be interested in being friends with me. I know i'm a fun person to be around, but you have to get to no me a little before you see that. What should i do? Please help me on this one.

im exactly the same way, the best thing to do is break that shyness walk up to a little group of people and start makin jokes(use the abosolute best jokes at your disposal),or do something that will atract people like play sports or be a stripper,or do stand up comedy
(i plan to do all of that in college by the way)
Im a highschool sophmoore and just got transferred to Detroit public school,i play football and crack jokes, jokes are my strongest quality

Maybe you should try to build your confidence a little because if no one gets to know you how will they see the fun inside? Just be yourself and the friends should come to you!

I suggest you to be always yourself and do things you like and go to places you like. That way you will feel more comfortable and self assured and take out the best of yourself; and the most important is that that way you can meet people interested in the same things you are . Be patient and PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO BEHAVE LIKE SOMEONE YOU ARE NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That way you only will attract people very different from you and perhaps it could be a disaster and will keep you far from people. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WELL YOU SOUND REALLY NICE AND I THINK YOU SHOULD JUST BE YOURSELF AND IM SURE IF YOUR AS FUN AS YOU SAY YOU ARE, YOU WILL MEET ALOT OF FRIENDS. THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE EXACTLY LIKE YOU, I WAS KIND OF QUIET IN SCHOOL, BUT EVENTUALLY I MET ALOT OF FRIENDS. GET INVOLVED IN SPORTS OR SOME KIND OF ACTIVITY, YOU'LL SEE IT WILL HAPPEN!! GOOD LUCK!
