I don't know the song by Jay-Z but the song "I just died in your arms tonight" was done by "The Cutting Crew"

i heard the song recently and can pick out an 80's act they sampled named Cutting Crew and fyi some of the members of Cutting Crew went with other musicians to form the band Wang Chung
When I heard ther song I also thought I heard some Pet Shop Boys being sampled as well but I'm not sure about that

I know Cutting Crew sang a song by the same title in the 80's, so it may be them. I have not heard the Jay-Z version.
