i was vundering...whats the difference between the standard crystal powered lightsabers and mace windu's electrum lightsaber???anyvun?anyvun??

I have a theory (just my opinion, not a fact) that a purple electrum lightsaber IS slightly more powerful than a normal lightsaber? Now why do I think that? Because who used a purple lightsaber? Mace Windu, the best lightsaber duelist in the saga, and Darth Bane, the best and most powerful Jedi/Sith that ever lived in the entire Star Wars history. Bane could take 1,000 Jedi at his will, just him VS all of the Jedi, and win. Now that's one tough Sith.... ;)

Electrum is a type of metal used in the forging of the hilt of a Lightsaber. If you have heard of it referred to as an 'Electrum Lightsaber', then it is referring to the metal used in the construction, rather than any specific difference to its' qualities.

Just the color of the beam. Mace Windu's lightsaber had no decernable advantage over the others.

Samuel L Jackson actually requested that his light saber be a purple color. Have no idea about the mythology behind it other than that was the actor's wish.
