If not, do you wish he did?

Hey Rio, why wouldn't you want your husband to make you most important in his life? I had to learn it the hard way, my wife and I almost divorced because I had become very selfish and was only thinking of myself. Thank God that I changed my priorities.

i wish that i could honestly say yes but unfortunately my husband tends to be selfish. I mean it doesn't matter if i am sick or what he still seems to think of his needs before thinking of mine..... if he even seems to entertain that i might need something. I wish that it were different because this is putting a major strain on our marriage. I feel like the bagger at the grocery store is more affectionate and caring than the man i love and want to be with. I feel like i am not valued nor appreciated but rather just taken for granted and used..... No ONE likes that feeling.

No he doesn't. If he did, I wouldn't be getting a divorce right now. Even after the first time of putting his needs and wants first, he apologized, promised never to do it again, and kept right on doing it. He kept repeating the same incident...not different things, of putting his wants and needs first.

My husband does on occasion, just as I do the same for him. Marriage is a partnership. There has to be give and take. Admittedly I am more of a giver than my husband, but he's still very good to me.

My fiance puts me AND my daughter before himself. He is the sweetest kindest person i have ever met. Yes, there are times when i wish he would put himself first but when i stop and think of it at the end of the day...i am crazy in love with him for doing so.
It takes a strong individual to not only put up with me but to put me first!!
He's simply the greatest!!

Most of the time.

If he did (and if I were ever insane enough to get a husband), I would be very displeased. I believe in the every-man-for-himself (even if he happens to be a woman) rule: If you don't look out for yourself first, who else will?

never married but the love of my life and his mother are wishing he did. i left him 14 years ago and his mother always manages to find away to fin me and tell me she wishes her son hadn't treated me the way that he did. she still hates his wife to this day and throws me in her face. always let your wife know what she means to you. i''ve moved on and am happy and he's miserable.

yes mine does he do anything to make me happy. he would go out of his way to make sure i am happy. if i get sick and he is at work he would leave work to come home and see about the kids until i am feeling better. if i need anything he would get it for me. all i have to do is ask.
