It means there is another computer on your local network somewhere with the same name, all names must be unique.

Right click on my computer and go to properties/computer name/change and that will tell you what your computer name is, change it, so it is unique on the network.

If you have Windows 95/98. Microsoft was notorious for giving a common name to all computers when you went through the network setup. if you are using Windows XP, right-click on My Computer and choose properties. Choose the computername tab and change the name. Do not use spaces.
