Yeah this is a strong and lasting relationship... I do NOT think that age is a barrier when it comes to love...
When Leo and Aquarius join together in a love match, the merging of Aquarian foresight and Leo creativity causes people to take notice. This partnership is energetic and unstoppable, and although occasional competitions may occur, there is never a dull moment for these two. Their Signs are congenial and have a good relationship. Both tend to be idealistic and highly motivated. Both are attracted to all things novel, and are thrill-seekers; they may even occasionally turn life into a giant game of Truth or Dare. Many Leo-Aquarius relationships thrive on unending mutual admiration. Leo admires the individualism, vision and creative characteristics of Aquarius. In turn, Aquarius admires the Lion's zeal, charm and dignity -- Aquarians always have new ideas, but they don't always have the drive to make those ideas real as Leo does. Both Signs pride themselves on their independence, but conflicts can arise if Leo seems too demanding or Aquarius seems too aloof. Both partners should respect differences of perspective in the other. Leo can be too dramatic for Aquarius' taste, but Aquarius in turn could be too unsteady for their Leo counterpart. If they communicate to one another the value of the relationship, everything will be okay. Leo is ruled by The Sun and Aquarius is ruled by the Planets Saturn and Uranus. These three Planets form a sort of cycle indicative of the Leo-Aquarius relationship and their ability to come together to create new institutions. Uranus is the Planet of new ideas and creativity; it's from this Planet that Aquarius gets its great vision. Then The Sun gives life and an identity to their collective ideas. Finally Saturn keeps the process going to completion, following up after Uranus's inspiration has been exhausted and The Sun's energy moves on to new things. Leo is a Fire Sign and Aquarius is an Air Sign. Air fuels Fire and keeps it going; Aquarius can not only keep pace with the motion and fireball of energy that is Leo, but can add special effects. They can soar to astounding heights together. Aquarius is able to use intellect to inspire Leo's ambition and feed them new ideas to put into practice -- they are very stimulating to Leo. Together the two feed a process of mutual personal growth and development. Both Signs have a multitude of interests, and Leo's desire to be original leaves them more than happy to carry out the ideas of the more withdrawn Aquarius. Leo and Aquarius are both Fixed Signs. Leo gives Aquarius the courage to charge ahead and take action, rather than just sitting in the lab formulating ideas. Aquarius's originality can impress Leo, as can their unique vision. They are both loyal and extremely devoted to one another, and when they understand that they don't necessarily need to be in charge all the time, they can succeed side by side. What's the best aspect of the Leo-Aquarius relationship? It's their ability to create magic when they're together. Fixed Fire and Fixed Air cover all the bases -- these partners get an idea, plan how to put it into action, get the ball rolling and see it through to completion. This cycle makes theirs a love match of vision as well as practice.
Best Wishes and Good Luck for your relationship :-)

In general, an Aquarian male is unlikely to continue giving a Leo female the attention she demands over the long term.
Of course these are just generalizations and many times these qualities are over-ridden by other aspects of one's natal chart, such as the placements of moon and planets and your ascendant and those are also just generalizations, so you can't predict the future using only astrology. (If you could a helluva lot more people would be getting really rich doing it.)

The age gap might be the bigger issue, but it depends on your relative ages. If he's 54 and you're 43 it means nothing, if he's 43 and you're 32, it means a bit less in common but still negligible, if he's 32 and you're 21, it could be fun but probably not long-term because you in particular will change significantly in the next few years as you develop your adult personality. If he's 21 and you're 10, then this is illegal and doomed and wrong and he has serious problems. So the actual ages in question make a big difference.

"Leo + Aquarius

Fire + Air = Hot Air

They say that opposites attract. In astrology, when a star sign is the seventh or opposite sign of another (and Aquarius is your seventh sign), it’s a good omen for an enduring partnership — but only under certain conditions. A match between Leo and Aquarius could work well, or crash and burn; Aquarius’s quiet intellectual curiosity could work with or against your attention-seeking style.
Being a fire sign, you are spontaneous and emotional, outgoing and bubbly; Aquarians are cool and airy, aloof and detached. Aquarius could find your loudness and your love of the limelight over the top, and you could find Aquarius much too rational and distant.
However, the two of you are very similar on at least on one count. You’re both wilful and self-centred. Both of you have very firm views — you could fight over social, political and philosophical opinions. Try not to let the airiness of Aquarius ignite your rage.
There will have to be some adjusting and compromising on both sides of this combination, or it will just turn into a battlefield.
Some Leos are really conservative, surprisingly. Aquarius is the opposite: very progressive, and without much respect for the conventional approach. Here is another bone of contention. You might start to ask yourself — is there any value in this relationship? Yes, there is.
For one thing, you could be very attracted to each other. Marriage, or at least a serious relationship heading in that direction, will be a natural next step at some point after you meet.
If you are a Leo looking for a long-term friendship with an Aquarian, consider those born between 21 January and 30 January. They are extremely well suited to your temperament, notwithstanding some of the above differences between you.
Aquarians born from 31 January to 8 February will make good friends who are happy to share their insights and experiences with you. They are also good lovers, so they could be quite well suited to you as romantic partners.
Probably the best Aquarians for you are those born between 9 February and 19 February. They will be staunchly loyal supporters of anything you set out to do, and will not compete with your powerful ego. This is a very good match as far as Aquarius is concerned, too."

As a matter of fact, Leo is the most compatible sign for Aquarius, and vice versa. I'm an Aquarius, and we get along great since Aquarius is an Air sign and Leo is FIre, which needs air. We're also opposites on the Zodiac, another good factor. But maybe you should go for a guy a bit closer to your age, he would understand you much better.

honestly you shouldnt let astrology choose who you are compatible with. it is very possible for the two of you to last in a relationship as long as you work at it. no relationship is easy. good luck and best wishes in your relationship.

You must be a woman, asking a question that assumes astrological signs really have some sort of relevance or meaning.
