As long as your are in a well ventilated area its fine! Its the fumes that are dangerous! I'd even suggest using a small fan as well. Happy dying!

WHY AM I GETTING THUMBS DOWN! LOL MY DR TOLD ME THAT... ACTUALLY 3 DIFFERENT DOCTORS!

I agree with mystratz. The colour may not come out how expect it to and it might work just fine. You just never really know until you try. That being said, well ventilated area! Important. Even when you're not pregnant that's an important rule.

at 23 weeks and 3 days, I went and got my hair bleached and redyed and my little girl is perfectly fine doing all the things a kid in utero should do.

Get it done professionally. Safer, easier even if it's more costly it would be worth it in the long run.

That is a 70' & 80's myth all OBs then were saying you could have a deformed baby if you dyed your hair....we know better now. Bleeching is a bit more strong of a odor, either way just do it in a well ventilate area, or salon. Also if you are still concerned call around to salons there are many natural (veggie & fruit based) dyes that don't even smell nasty, you would just have to wash hair less & dye more often like every 4 to 5 weeks. Happy Dyeing!

You can color your hair anytime during pregnancy. All the studies that they have done, they havent found any harm. If you are really worried just do highlights or lowlights. That way the color is in foils so it never touches your scalp. The only thing about color and pregnancy, is that sometimes the color doesnt turn out even or the right shade. That is because of the hormone changes in your body. Make sure you go to a professional to get it done so they can take every precaution.

I dyed my hair throughout my pregnancy and the baby was fine. The only side effect was that he had the same color hair as my dyed hair (just kidding). It is best to have your hair colored at the salon because it is open and you won't breathe in the fumes so much. Try not to listen to much to other people's comments of, "don't do this, only do that" blah blah blah. It will only drive you crazy.

no way every thing you smell or use can affect your baby
use only organic / herbal / natural products shampoo detergent etc
yeast is also very bad for you and your baby, eat yeast free or sour sough or make chappati flat bread
get a herbal or natural book to find out all you can about having a healthy happy baby, there is a good one called 'i had no say' and theres 'back to eden' by jethro kloss and 'natural cures' by kevin trudeau
red raspberry leaf tea helps you to have an easier birth, as well as toning up the pelvic area after birth
cod liver oil makes a beautiful baby
vitamin c (rosehip / oranges / blackcurrant ) helps babies breath well
eat no yeast (you or when baby grows up) this helps mums and babies not to be sad
evening primrose oil with fish oil helps avoid pre & post natal depression as well as optimising happiness

It's ok to dye your hair. It will not harm the baby. But, your Ph balance is off and your hair may take the color or it may turn out a different color.

Depend's on what chemical's are in the product. Go to a salon as they have "special" hair color's (you dont dye your hair, you dye easter egg's...lol) I go to Empire beauty school. We color hair on pregnant women and my BF is 3month's pregnant and her mother is a stylist and she just got highlights added. So I reccomend checking the chemicals as some can be VERY harmfull! Good luck and congrat's!!
