for some people it is natural? but everybody claims, being a stick is not cute, but society puts so much preasure on being a rail, if you are not thin enough you are not cute enough, no matter how pretty your face is.

It is ridiculous. My sister is 5 feet tall and all of 130 pounds (she's gained 15 since she got married) and she goes on and on about how fat she is- and I've never seen her look better! I've pretty much always been a big girl... but I accept it. I think I'm pretty the way I am, and I don't think I would be ME if I were uber-skinny. I just love the chocolate too damn much, lol.

i feel the need to be rale thin is just unatural.when you see these woman so skinny you can count their bones is ugly, they have a body like a 10 yr old boy.theres no curves or womanly features.its dangerous aswell it causes young girls to believe that the only way you will be accepted is if you skinny.they turn to using ridiculous dieting mearures such as not eating, throwing up and so on.and it can cause serious depression.

I despise it but subconsciously I conform to it. I guess that is why I kill myself in the gym and deprive myself of what I desperately want to eat. That is why I weigh and measure myself everyday. But I don't think that I would ever feel thin enough. When I was truly thin (scary skinny) by anyone's standards it wasn't good enough. I still thought I was fat. I wish big was beautiful in our society but it is not and as humans our standard of beauty for ourselves adapt to fit society's.

its going too far. the bone bags society is turning some girls into are just not attractive, period. i admit i don't find very fat attractive, but the skinny trend is past the point of being ugly as well as medically unsafe.

I don't care for it nor do I believe in the waif look. My weight tends to fluctuate.. and whatever size I've been/I am, I've been comfortable with it, regardless of what anyone else thinks. It's crazy though, I'm 5'11 and I had reached 150 at one time and when I lost some weight, one of my oldest friends commented that I'd gotten a bit big.. Until she'd pointed it out to me, I didn't even think about it.
I do wonder at my friends and people who think they have to keep dieting to look a certain way for everyone else's sake.

larry s- Us skinny girls are just as beautiful! :P
Wow, what's with all the negative comments about skinny girls? "Being skinny", for me IS NOT a "trend". I'm 5'1" and I weigh like 95lbs. I don't starve myself though, I'm naturally thin and find it hard to gain wieght. If I do gain weight, it's like 5lbs and then I lose it quickly. I and many other people find me to be beautiful no matter if I'm skinny or not. It really upsets me when people think I starve myself. (I'm the only skinny one in my family full of fat ppl) Even though I may be skinny, I still have curves just like any other girl.

I would really like to date one of these skinny girls. Not because I am attracted to them, but because I think it would look absolutely huge next to one of them girls.
