No train had been painted to appear as Air Force 1. It should be Train 1 but not possible because Presidents travel by helicopters or cars in short distances.

No. The White House would lease passenger cars (either owned by a railroad or by private car owners) for the president if he/she ever wanted to travel by train. Since that happens so infrequently, it would be a waste of US tax dollars to purchase and outfit a dedicated trainset for the president.

Another consideration is security. Presidential rail travel requires incredible advance planning for the railroad infrastructure to spike down switches, inspect bridges, schedule other trains using the same tracks, etc. that POTUS trains are seldom used, even for political campaigns.

As another person said, air travel is the most time-efficient method for the president. And security is much easier to manage.
