I used to own a Creative Zen Micro, but then it just kind of died on me and I have no reciept so my warranty is void. I am hightly against getting and iPod, and would like to know if anyone knows of any other brands that have worked well, or have good capacity or a reasonable price. Anything at all would be helpful! Unless you tell me I'm dumb and that I should just get an iPod, then I won't be too pleased.

Well I own a San Disk that has 4 GB which holds 920 songs based on 3 minutes. I like this one very well. I got my at Circut City for about $125.00. I got it during the summer. It is easy to use and has a FM radio on it. I seen this same brand at Wal Mart before but I only see it in the 2 GB models. Good Luck

p.s. don't lose the receipt lol.

SanDisk Sansa e250 costs around $100-$110. It is 2GB which means it hold around 500 songs. It shows photos and has video playback. It has a nice vibrant screen, and it also has a voice recorder. There is an FM tuner from which you can listen to the radio or even record from. It has a MicroSD slot so you can expand the memory at a given time. It has a nice sleek design and has the same dimensions as the iPod Nano except for the thickness which it is more thicker.

I currently bought Microsoft's Zune and I think it's great. The features of an iPod and a Zune are more or less the same. There are just some differences, here and there. Plus, a Zune has an FM and Wireless file-sharing feature. Check out www.zuneuser.com for some comparisons and more information.

I would try out the Microsoft Zune. The Microsoft Zune has very good playback performance of audio, video, and photos; intuitive and colorful interface; good FM radio with RDS; works well with Zune Marketplace software; integrated wireless allows sharing of songs (limited) and photos; many accessories available at launch.
Take a look at it at http://www.zune.net/en-US/

once you've xbox 360, defiantly get a zune because you would possibly want to move songs and video clips. once you've a apple computing device or computing device, get a ipod. i'd recommend the zune because the computer screen is larger and it has a lot extra useful controls and ideas.
