Both of these players are great----------
At this point Kobe and Lebron are both team leaders. LeBron is an unselfish player and focuses more on the team and not his personal stats.LeBron is a few years younger than Kobe so he is stil lacking in the area of experience. If I had to choose only one player -then LeBron would be my choice!

I would have to say Lebron. He is 6'8" 240lbs, that moves like a cat on the floor. While Kobe is supposingly the greatest offensive weapon currently in the NBA. Here's a little secret, based off Lebrons short career, he trumps Kobe in every stat average. PPG, RPG, APG, SPG, and BPG. I like Kobe a lot, but numbers don't lie. What has Kobe done since Shaq has left....nothing, but what has Lebron done....almost single handedly rebuild the Cavs into a very dominate basketball team. People should stop lying to themselves that Kobe is better. Lebron would dominate Kobe, because he is better then Kobe. He would post Kobe up with his 6'8" 240 lb frame and school him. In both appearances they played last season, Kobe outscored Lebron and they split wins. In both games, Lebron almost had triple doulble, only missing it by one assist. In both games Lebron dominated Kobe in every stat except scoring. Their was also one game, in which the Cavs won, Kobe had 7 Turnovers, and Lebron had 5 steals. Now tell me Kobe plays better defense then Lebron, because Lebron had 2 turnovers in their first meeting which ended in a loss, and he had 3 turnovers when the beat the Lakers. In both games, Kobe had a grand total of 1 steal. I'm sorry I went off, but I am so tired of hearing how overrated Kobe is. Go Hawks and Joe Johnson. I;m a Hawks fan, so I have a lot of built up anger, but all is true. Look it up.

At THIS point of time, it's LeBron, but with Kobe's 52 that he just dropped, I think we'll be seeing a better person than LeBron. Kobe's back.

All these people giving thumbs down for people who say Kobe are casual NBA fans caught up in the LeBron hype. Obviously Kobe is better at this point, anyone who actually watches the NBA on a regular basis knows this. 3 rings, 11 years experience, can make free throws down the stretch when they matter (unlike LeBron), get his own shot whenever he wants etc.
Go ahead and give me a thumbs down all you novice NBA fans! Any real fan of the game knows Kobe > LeBron.

Kobe, hands down, even though I completely dislike him.
Personal feelings for Kobe aside, though, Lebron is a clown. He has never won a damn thing, and I will not call him great until he can show what he can do with the TEAM. That's right, as in winning championships. Lebron hasn't shown me anything yet.

Kobe.
Despite the Shaq factor in his three rings, Kobe is a beast. He's a lockdown defender, and his moves are second only to MJ.
No disrespect to King James. He's younger, and makes his team better. Better passer...
But, any player that can drop numbers like 81 on Toronto, 62 on Dallas, or 30 in a quarter, that's sick.
Kobe is in his absolute prime right now.

Lbron James has no ugly baggage and gives you a better chance of winning. Kobe is like Bernard King as far as a scorer. They have one thing in common kobe and King, they were both charged but not convicted in rape cases.
Jordan and Lbron will be similar at the end of thier careers.

It's Kobe....When LeBron can defend a little better, and can hit more clutch shots, then he'd be better.
