You have developed a thinking pattern- you're programmed to look at certain things and react in a certain way. You were programmed by the habits of thinking you developed growing up, and you can change your programming consciously.

Whenever something happens that you think is stupid, instead of immediately saying "that's so infuriatingly dumb!", like you're probably programmed to think, try instead to camly wonder about what the other person's viewpoint is. Approach things like a puzzle- you are an anthropologist identifying the reasons humans act the way they do. Do this instead of approaching things like anything you see will be stupid and illogical.

Many of the "stupid things" people do, under careful investigation, turn out to be manifestations of very understandable funcitons and needs. You may see the inane anti-Bush propaganda as a bunch of idiots howling their heads off, but I see several fascinating anthropological and psychological forces driving this behavior. You may see people who hurt each other as mindlessly cruel, but I see an interesting philosophical question about the nature of human beings.

Also, you are probably pssd off at society because you personally feel that you have been hurt, estranged, oppressed, etc. by this society. It's hard to not take things personally, but you need to learn to recognize where "stupid society" ends and "some things that hurt me personally" begins. Just because it hurts YOU does not mean it is bad. Many other people certainly don't see things from YOUR perspective.

I had the same thought you had. Just change everyone you find stupid at first, do not see them. Do not do any activity you find stupis too. Make o list of the things that you wanna do, and the kind of people you wanna see. I, myself, started dealing with assiciations wich are helping poor, animals.... I made new friends who knew what it is to "regardlessly give". Helping someone or something makes you feel wonderfull. And then you start to maintain your balance. Afterwards, you evaluate different feelings about the people you formerly hated or found stupid. You do not have to love them bu you learn to except them. But do not be miserable. There are people who have devoted themselves for good.

I would speculate to say that it is your environment contributing to your unhappiness. Try traveling the world if you have the means. Go backpacking. experiencing adventure and seeing other cultures opens the mind. It gives you a sense of freedom like the world has been lifted off your chest. cheers mate

Why don't have a try at changing society. If every
one did that the whole of society would be a lot better.

The key is balancing your negative feelings with positive feelings. Happy people ignore the negatives and unhappy people ignore the positives. Smart people, IMHO, find balance between the good and the bad.

I agree, and understand, but I don't think you have hate in you.

People are killing and hating ... absolutely stupid!

All around the world ... stupider than stupid. Hopefully the human race will someday grow up.

Yours, I liked the question.

Feeling and Thoughts comes all from VERY 'Small Part' of BRIAN and destroys Billions cells happiness in our body.

IF, you have reasonableness and logic, would NOT allow a 'Small Part' like a 'Terrorist' attack to WHOLE your body and happiness.

SO, whenever a negative thought rose by that 'Small Part' ...USE the majority parts of your BRAIN to attack to that negative thought.
USE your voice to 'shout SHUT UP' to your negative thought.
USE your fist if it was necessary to punch that negative thought!
Many people doing it!

Lastly, negative thoughts are certain 'Chemical' in that small part of brain'. Stupid people use drugs and smokes to fight with that 'Chemical'
SMART PEOPLE, doing Exercises & Sports, that creates any 'Chemical' and destroy all negative thoughts.

YOU CAN DO IT!

and your anger is helping the situation... how? the only person YOU can control is the one you see in the mirror. so, check yourself! ask yourself what YOU would do to make your life more positive. if it means slowing down and planning, slow down and plan!
if it means studying, study! if it means, (gasp) respecting others... try it! it just might work!
