Really just grow like any other house plant, they do like water poured into the crown of the leaves, as you probably know, many bromeliads keep water in their crowns, but the pineapple doesn't. Dont keep the soil overly wet or it will rot at the base.
If your house is dry in the winter, like most, use a mister and mist it every couple of days, it will like that. I kept mine for years outside in the summer, then brought it in during the winter--not finicky at all, except grasshoppers tried to eat it!

You can grow your own from the top of a pineapple. But that isn't what you asked.

Water in the cone of leaves where the baby plant is coming out. Bromeliads love having their crowns wet. Fertilize as any other house plant. South window. nothing mysterious. You'll do fine

You need good mixture of soil and compost. Must be at sunny side of the house (they are tropical plants loves heat and humidity). Cover the stem with soil all the way to the first leaf. Make sure you don't over water, the stem rots easily. Just make sure the soil mixture is moist but not wet.
Good luck!
