MY wallpapers on my computer are greyed out and I cannot use a wallpaper. How do I correct this?

Question

When I rightclick on my desktop and choose properties and then click the Desktop tab all my wallpaper choices are greyed out. I also cannot choose an image from a website and set it as my background as it does not apply, it stays black.

The odd part is that when I shut down my computer or log on it will show my wallpaper while loading, but then blanks it out after that,.

How do I correct his?

Right click on the desktop, select PROPERTIES, and click the ADVANCED tab. Click the drop down menu marked COLOR QUALITY. Select 32 bit. Click APPLY. Click OK. Restart the computer.
