What they can do is test your mitochondrial DNA to see what parts of the world your mitochondrial DNA traces back to. This is because of a high and consistant mutation rate in this DNA which works as a time clock. As people migrate over time and the mitochondrial DNA mutates over time, it leaves somewhat of a genetic trail. But that doesn't reveal race. But it can reveal how closely/distantly related you are to people in certain parts of the world. Race is a social construct and genetic research shows that people are more different within a race than between races.

Yes to a degree. Many are mixed races it would be a bit more difficult especially if the mixed race is from the same geographic region. Like Korean and Japanese.

Which races are you talking about? The NYC marathon? the 100meters or what? Not your DNA hon, but you get a trophy and then we all know that you were in a race!!! Better still, some guy takes a pic of you begging for air!!!
