Did lil wayne really cut his hair?

i haven't heard that he cut his dreads off but he did give them a good trimming. in the "stunting like my daddy" video they are a nice length and when i saw him at the end of october at a show that he did, they looked about 3 to 5 inches shorter. but he's a dude, that hair will grow back in no time
