Honey,
All girls have periods, and yes, it is VERY embarassing to have a big leak (been there, done that), but if anyone says anything bad about it tell them that if THEY've never seen/heard of a period, they REALLY need to grow up.
Chances are, they either didn't see it, or if they did, they won't bother bringing it up.
I know it's mortifying, but if the other girls in your grade want to bug you about it, they're just immature brats who are desparate to make others feel bad, because they don't feel good about themselves.
Seriously.
Also, if your mother and you are alright with it you may want to look into using tampons someday(some people don't like using tampons because they, or their parents don't think they're old enough. Ask your mom.), . I've never had a signifigant leak with a tampon, and you can wear a pantyliner (thiner than a pad) with it just in case!
Good luck!!
Sheena

It will happen to every menstruating woman atleast once in her lifetime. If you hear someone say something about you just be honest and say you had an accident. You were on your period and had a leakage, you really didn't mean to offend anyone. Then tell them that there is no need to gossip about it as there are much more important things to discuss. That should catch them off gaurd and you may even get a little sympathy;) I'm sure it has happened to one of them before. I was on the bus once when I leaked through my jeans. Thought I was looking good with a huge bloodstain on my backside! I was mortified. I got over it fast though. You will, too. Next week there will be another incident and they will move on to something else... Trust me. I do understand your embarrassment, but just hold your head high.; This won't even matter in a few weeks or months.

I have a worse story. I started my period for the second time I think in 4th grade. (Co-ed) I got up to go to the bathroom, and I had a big red stain in the back of my jeans. It leaked onto the seat where you could see a big red stain! When I came back to school (I went home that day) My bloody stained chair was moved from my desk, and a male classmate was sitting on it. I could always see that stain! So embarrassing! Don't worry at least there aren't guys in your class!

When I was in high-school a simular thing happened to me. I went to the bathroom and noticed a red stain in my jeans. I tried not to bring attention to it, and I did nto mention it to anyone. I don't think anyone noticed because nobody every said anything to me about it. The leakage issue happens to a lot of girls, so if your school is all girls they should understand. If the girls do spread gossip, just ignore it and try not to let it bother you (although this is the HARDEST advice to follow, because lets face it, it will bother you!) just stick by your friends and let them support you and help you through.
HOpefully the girls at school will not spread rumors, and if they do, just remind them this could happen to them.

ooooo.... that sucks! well the only thing i can think of is pretend no one noticed it. dont even bring up the subject tomorrow and see what happens. if people do try to make fun of you, laugh with them. you wont feel or look as bad. kids are always trying to bring others down. if they see that it brings you down, they'll keep making fun of you. its possible that if you laugh with them, they might not tease you again cuz they see it didnt hurt your feelings. but that's a 50/50 chance. besides, if people saw it, someone would've pointed it out. good luck!

44 here,, and still has accidents once and awhile,, try using overnight pads instead,, and change them more often,, just have your mom write a note so you can go to the bathroom more often,,
As for your Friends,, just don't worry about it,,, tell anyone who might say a word,, what if it was them??

Don't let it bother you. Also, if you ignore it it will go away. And they are girls they will understand.
