If you were to attend a birthday party, and rather everyone giving the birthday person their gift... everyone gave their gifts to you instead...
How would you feel if you were the person the party was for,
and how would you feel if you was the guest that got the gifts?

Keep in mind..this is really about Christmas.

If I were the person the party was for, I would be happy that people cared enough to come and celebrate. If I were the guest who got the gifts, I would feel humble.
It's a very nice analogy for the whole Christmas scene, isn't it?

id feel good about the fact that i have all these neat presents to quote "play" with lol but since the true spirit of christmas is about GIVING and not recieving id feel like a "scrooge" because itd be me wanting to give each person a little something even if its from the dollar store id still find it necessary to give the thought afterall thats what really counts

You're question is a little unclear, but it sounds like you are talking about Jesus.

He's the Birthday person.

But we get the gifts.

The real gift would be everlasting life that I would give to everyone who accepted it.

I guess I'm just not sure what to give to the guy who has everything. Especially when he's been dead for over two thousand years.
