It's a semi-formal dance so I think most people will have dates (i dont really know)
I would feel awkward going to a dance with a friend because that would result in slow dancing and yeah.. Me and my friend both like the same guy (she doesnt know i like him though) and she keeps talking about the dance (she really wants to go with him but is not going to do anything about it). What should i do?
(Go with a group of girls, ask a guy friend, ask the guy?!...?)
and would it be really mean to my friend if i tried dancing with him at the dance? (I don't know if he is planning on going with a date..)

I think u should do what feels right the most. If u really want an opion though, here's one... I think u should talk to your friend about the situation. You might want to let her know how u feel and work something out. If she's a really loyal friend then she'll respect how u feel and support whatever u choose. If she doesn't have the guts to ask him to the dance herself - then u should.

Even though it's semi-formal you can still go alone. You don't have to go with anyone. If a group of girls and guys would like to get together and go together as friends, that would be o.k. as well. If you know that your friend like the guy, I wouldn't advise you to ask him to the dance. I hope you enjoy your dance.

just go to the dance with a casual friend and have fun.
avoid the slow dance. don't slam a friend for a boy. in ten years you won't remember his name but you will still be calling your friend.
tell your friend you like that guy too. just have fun talking about him.
don't ask a guy to the dance, flirt and wait. if a guy doesn't have the guts to ask or get the clue that you want him to ask ... move on.

If you really really like him, just ask him to the dance or something. If you feel generous, step back and leave him, or if you're a real good friend, set it up somehow so that ure best friend and him go together... but I guess that seems unreasonable (i wuld never do that). Ask a guy that u like second best?

U could ask ur friend if she have more guys then just one on her list 2 dance with. If she has, then ask her if u can dance with the guy u want, but if she doesn`t, then still ask her but if she doesn`t want u 2, then just ask another cute guy to dance with.

You should talk 2 your friend first and be like i like him 2. Since u arn't asking him 2 the dance can i . At my school we just had the winter ball and i went with all my friends. It wuz fun and we took pictures. But if u want ur friend 2 stay ur friend u need 2 talk 2 her
