what do you think of fergie (black eyed peas) going solo?

i used to like her when she was still with the group. but then her songs became shallow and slutty, i dont know does she really want to be remembered that way, personally i beleive if she continues playing dumb and singing songs which are only danceable and cannot be appreciated by all, her career would go down, too bad, i used to think she was a strong intelligent woman

I think her songs are good and I like them- but I also wish she would have songs of more substance then "London Bridge Going Down" and yapping about her clothes and shoes.
She is a classy lady and a great talent- only she can showcase it.

I agree. I like Fergie, and her songs are pretty shallow now that you mention it.

However, I think she was just "eye candy" for The Peas. She never really looked as though she had much of a roll but to belt out a few notes and look hot.

However, shallow or not, her career is really taking off. She must be doing something right.

We don't know the story. Maybe some people in the group thought she should go solo since she really does everything her song are not shallowe and slutty. Since when does fergie write the songs? You never know she might still be in the gropu and might go solo at the same times because SHE HASEN EVEN BEEN SINGING SOLO THAT LONG!!!!! DURR

It's better for the Peas to have her out of the group. She was bringing them down. I mean look at the material on "Bridging the Gap" vs "Monkey Business". Hopefully she doesn't come back and BEP can return to their roots.

I LOVE IT! Before she quit the band, she was forced to sing the stereotypical, high-pitched female part. When she performed live, she would sing like, two octaves lower, obviously where her natural voice is. She's singing more in her natural range now that she's solo, and she sounds great.
