Electric Blanket.

When I was little and lived in Fairbanks, Alaska, where the winter temperatures can drop to 60 below, my mother had a down filled comforter. It was the greatest. The feathers really hold your body temp underneath the blanket and keeps you very warm all night. I really miss having a comforter like that.

I would definitely have to say a down blanket. Last year when our power went out during a storm, we still stayed cozy as long as we stayed under our blankets. Try one....they are wonderful!!

I'm allergic to feathers, so my best advice is a "doona". That is what a wool filled duvet is called. They are as warm as feathers, less allergenic and are good summer or winter. (they will moisture away from you and dont get "heavy" like feathers)

Authenic ones come from Australia, but many sheep farms also make them. If you get larger ones, you can ask for one side be a certain thickness from the other....so if your spouse is a "Warmer" person from you, then you dont freeze. :)

Several of them. We in the frozen north don't live much different from the less fortunate who don't get to live here. We run the heat in the winter and dress warmly when we go outside. Simple as that.

Down if you are in a dry area, Thinsulate if you could get wet. Are you going camping?

Stay away from electric. The risk of fire or getting burned is not worth it.
