I am an English speaking Canadian who moved my family from B.C. to a small french speaking town in New Brunswick. Our 2 youngest boys go to a french school and are fluently bilingual. That is what Canada is all about. I spent one of the best summers in my life in Montreal back in the early 70's. A lot of western Canadians have mixed feelings about Quebec due to years of Liberal governments that were elected with single digit members elected west of Ontario. Has lead to feelings of alienation because of continuous appeasement of Quebec hard-liners seemingly at the expense of western Canada. Right or wrong that is just the way it is.I have no problem with Quebec and if I am in the minority, so be it. Quebec has contributed many things that have made Canada a much better nation overall and hopefully will continue to do so.

I disagree with your bold statement. I for one is an English speaking Canadian...and I do not dislike French speaking Canadians ... from Quebec or any other province.
Perhaps you should not assume.

I am from Montreal. We moved to another Province when I was 9. I love it there, I did move back for a while when I was 21. Had a great time. I regret that I wasn't there long enough to be fluent in french though.

Because you call yourselves French when you're not. You just speak French. A part of Switzerland speaks French too but they don't claim to be French. You're Canadian not French.

I live in Ontario and love both Quebec and the Quebecois that I know personally. I simply don't like the idea of them separating from Canada and being a sovereign nation and all that will imply. Its not right. Quebec is part of Canada and always should be.

There are a few noisy, ignorant English Canadians who insult Quebec, just as there are a few noisy, ignorant Quebecois who insult the English. Just ignore all of them and enjoy the whole country.

Yes we should all get along. However you did ask so I have to say that my experience has been that french Canadians are arrogant. If you miss pronounce a french word they laugh at you maliciously, but I have never known an English Canadian to laugh at their poor English pronunciation. They don't even want to be considered Canadians.

Ya desire me to be trustworthy? NO, truthfully no longer. i understand i don't understand you all that properly (you realize me from yet another account, e mail me & i'm going to permit you realize), yet i've got continuously enjoyed you. i'm thinking you asked this for the reason which you have become suggested plenty presently(?). in no way take reporting too heavily. Adults do no longer document. If adults do unlike your questions/solutions, adults merely flow on, so do no longer sweat it in my opinion.
