I'm a Kings fan and this one is easy. I'd trade Bibby for Kidd in a second. They're both money players, but Kidd does more. Bibby scores a little more, but isn't near the passer that Kidd is. Bibby gets about half as many assists as Kidd. Kidd is also the best rebounding point guard in the league, hence the triple doubles. The biggest difference, though, is on defense. Kidd is a tough defender who's slowed down a step, but still stays in front of his guy and gets steals and blocks. Bibby is very lackluster on defense. He showed up 20 pounds lighter this year and promised to play defense, but that rhetoric is mainly aimed at getting a contract extension. I really don't see much improvement. He lets slower guys go right by him all the time. There you have it: Kidd.

Jason Kidd. He's a winner, bibby has yet to prove himself a winner yet. Bibby is good, but Kidd is better because he plays defense and can also direct the offense. Bibby is mostly an offensive player. Indivdually, Kidd has the better stats because he's a triple double threat every night when he's healthy even though he doesn't get as many points as Bibby does. But the main reason I would take Kidd over Bibby is because of the effect they have over their team mates. With Kidd on the court, he instantanously increases his team mates stats (better % and more production). Bibby... well... he's a debatable 1st string guard, but he doesn't effect his team mates' stats as much as Kidd does.

I think a better comparison would be between Nash and Kidd since they both bring up the production of their whole team.

Kidd, no doubt about it. Bibby is an really good participant, and is amazingly carry close. yet Kidd is probable between the perfect element guards of all time. He had an really good 12 months, and has been taking section in outstanding contained in the playoffs. Bibby had an off 12 months this 12 months. Bibby is an really good participant, yet Kidd is a lot extra useful.

Jason Kidd without a doubt. Statisticly jason is much better because he is almost averaging a triple-double(12ppg, 8rpg, and 9 apg) Also, Bibby has lost his leadership over the Kings, he isnt even the leading scorer which for years he has been known for. Also, Bibby is a pg and only averages about 5 assists. He cant score and cant get assisists, than what can he do?

That IS hard.

Kidd jumps out at first glance, but they are statistically similar. I think Kidd is the better passer, but Bibby is a better pure shooter.

Bibby seems to go into funks, streaks. Kidd, when healthy is generally more consistent. Both have serious heart.

Very hard to say, becasue they both have had a lot of turnover on their given teams.

Edge to Kidd, for some intangibles like the no-look passing...

The answers obviously Kidd mostly because of how he makes his entire team better. He can get you an open shot anytime he wants. Compared to Kidd Bibby sucks

Right now, Mike Bibby because he is younger and is an excellent point guard. But overall Jason Kidd because he is the total package: scoring, assists, rebounds, defense, court vision, and leadership. He is everything a point guard should be

Power Rating = points + rebounds + assits = PR

This system can settle arguments/discussions. It is objective. For true fairness, players should be playing the same position.

2006
Kidd 13.3 + 7.3 + 8.4 = 29
M. Bibby 21.1 + 2.9 + 6.4 = 30.4

Career
Kidd 14.6 + 6.5 + 9.2 = 30.3
M. Bibby - 16.7 +3.3 + 6.4 = 26.4

Last year - slight edge to Bibby
Carrer - Kidd is better

Bibby palys the point and shooting guard. Kidd only plays the point.

That's not tough at all J Kidd is way better. He is almost averaging a triple double a game! Already had one this season. Smitty posted the wrong stats for this season (good job), here are the real ones for Kidd:

12.8 PPG
9.2 APG
8.2 RPG

That is beyond sick! Plus he's averaging 1.6 SPG so he knows how to get it done.
