ha ha no. collagen is a type of fiber found naturally in your body. and if you are referring to the collagen in creams and lotions and what not, it is not dead baby's skins. that would be massively illegal. most likely it is a synthetic form, or comes from animals at the worst.

No. Most collagen is made from cows. (check the wikipedia article, scroll down to "medical uses")

The only use of skin cells from the aborted fetus is where it's being tested for use on burn victims. In Russia, there is a growing use of injections of stem cells from aborted fetuses as an anti-aging therapy. However, I'm not aware of any cosmetic procedure readily done in America that uses the skin from aborted fetuses.

Tell your friend she's uninformed.

Collagen is the main protein of connective tissue in animals and the most abundant protein in mammals, making up about 25% of the total protein content. It is one of the long, fibrous structural proteins whose functions are quite different from those of globular proteins such as enzymes. Strong, tough bundles of collagen called collagen fibers are a major component of the extracellular matrix that supports most tissues and gives cells structure from the outside, but collagen is also found inside certain cells. Collagen has great tensile strength, and is the main component of cartilage, ligaments, tendons, bone and teeth. Along with soft keratin, it is responsible for skin strength and elasticity, and its degradation leads to wrinkles that accompany aging. It strengthens blood vessels and plays a role in tissue development. It is present in the cornea and lens of the eye in crystalline form. It is also used in cosmetic surgery and burns surgery.

no, most likely not. collagen is in everyone's skin, there's no reason to take it from dead babies, especially because there skin is not developed. skin develops over time. collagen is lost with the aging process, but is not at its peak when we are born.

collagen simply put, is two or more substances that chemically bond by means of transparent micro mutagens, engulfed in flaming flamers, that show C+ on a diagram of highly intelligent, highly trianed assassins..... aka: The Black Ninja of Oni

No it is the structure within your skin that gives it support. It has nothing to do with dead babies.
