The easiest and quickest way is do a System Restore. Ok, how to do it. Click on Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, then choose System Restore. It has a wizard to walk you through it . Windows XP takes periodic snapshots of your computer, and XP will show you a calendar of days it took those snapshots. Choose a date when you know things were normal, and continue on. Best of luck.

if screen saver is a problem, then right click on desktop select properties go to screen saver and select none.
select background and select none.
in appearance select windows standard as scheme

then it will become alright.

what ever u do but pls dont do system restore as suggested by Nicholas.

i.e. really funny. u do system restore only when u have deleted files or win is not working properly.

ur problem is only screen saver or u have got windows extra large in scheme.

Right click the desktop and click on graphics property -display settings then choose the screen resolution or you can just do a system restore.

Have you tried to right click on the desktop and click on properties and change the setting from there? Try the last tab, settings. I think it may be your screen resolution. Or under apperance tab you can change your icon size.
