I think my gourami's are eating my other fish, over the months i have had 4 tiger barbs, 4 cherry barbs, 2 bala sharks, 1 small tank frog, and 1 sucker fish, all of the cherry barbs disapeared, 2 tiger barbs disapeared, the frog and, and the sucker fish also disapeared, every other fish is still in my tank. I have 2 male gouramies, and they are driving me nuts, what should i do?

Any fish will eat other fish that fit in their mouths. However, I can't imagine even a large gourami being able to eat a tiger barb, and definitely not a plecostomous.

If you find your gouramis are being aggressive, you bring them to your local pet store, and they would give you store credit for them.

However, you may want to look into underlying causes. How large is your tank? Are you aware that bala sharks requite 125+ gallons? And that tiger barbs are notoriously nippy? I think it is probably more likely that there is a problem in your fish tank - do you use dechlorinator? Do you do weekly water changes? Is your filter effective? Is your tank large enough? Probably, your fish are dying and being eaten by the gouramis and other fish afterwards, unless your gouramis are enormous.

sorry to say, gouramis are bad for eating any fish smaller then them! if you don't want them, give them away & start over, otherwise, get fish bigger then them!

You should send the 2 gouramies down the toilet. Then repopulate your tank.

what kind of gouramis do you have....I'd separate them until you get it figured out.
