which was asked or gone to wikipedia? makes you wonder why the asker didnt just go there themselves in the first place instead of going to the bother of posting a question here?

As for your question, the part that annoys me is that people ask questions that could easily be solved very quick by people if they'd just type it into a search engine and read what pops up on the first link. I agree that the variety of answers can be helpful sometimes, but definitions should be looked up in a dictionary or relevant website and not asked here. That and questions that get asked over and over get annoying. I've completely stopped answering "should, like, gay marraige be, like, legal or something"

As for the category part, if you click the ask icon from a category, the default category for your question is the one you were just at.

no, this does not annoy me, but what does annoy me is all the cut and paste that goes on forever. but then, I get over things within seconds, so it doesn't matter. Best answers get points, but until I figure out what the points can be used for, I couldn't care less. The time to care about percentage of best answers is early in the game...after that, it is very hard to raise your percentile. Good luck

Wikipedia is NOT a valid source of information so, yes it bothers me when anyone uses it to answer a question.

Best is best, whether it came from Google or the man in the moon. Deal with it.

amen...but some people (like me) don't like having to search and search for the answer and it helps having people who know the right resources to use answering your questions. this has nothing to do with lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered people.
