Sphere by Michael Crichton, the sphere made imaginaion real, more than imagination is, but the characters within the novel all handled this power badly. If you were to gain that power would you be able to control for only good? And how would you attempt to use it?

Yes, but I'd wonder how long I could.

If I started using the sphere to create a world where comfort and stability were the priorities I doubt there'd be much trouble in having the sphere become dangerous. If I attempted to search for the truth though and wished to become more aware, it'd be very difficult to remain pure of heart and not self-destructive.

Oh by the way, if you really liked that movie, watch Event Horizon. It was made only a year earlier and has a similar concept.
