Contact city and county social service agencies. The Salvation Army and Catholic Relief agencies. Contact several churches. There are people looking for people to help. Good Luck.

Well, I recently helped with Toys for Tots out here in California. My company helps with social services. They require SS# for each child under 14yrs old and if you qualify you can get a free toy. However, I collected the SS# for the families I was helping a month ago and I just picked up the Toys this week to distribute. Hopefully it's not to late for you...try looking up Toys for Tots for your area and see if it's not too late to sign up. Since you live in Vermont, I'm not in touch with what types of services are available to you in your area. Maybe if you look around in places that have services out for communities like YMCA, Recreation Centers, or community centers in your area they may have flyers posted for things like free Christmas parties and your kids could get a free toy. Just start looking for Holiday events of that nature. I wish I could be more helpful. But you should hurry soon, Christmas is just around the corner. Good Luck

Tell them Santa got lost at The North Pole and won't see them this year. He promies to see them next year.
