If you're a computer geek (like I), you should know what am i talking about. Otherwise, a jumper is that tiny black ring you should see on your computer's hard drive. w/o it the desktop can't know what is the main drive and what is the secondary drive.

back to the question. Where can I go (online or at a store) to buy hard drive jumpers? other than Fry's electronics

You might try ALL Electronics (http://allelectronics.com/), or Roger's Specialists (http://www.rogerssystems.com/store/).

But I may have a better idea for you. If you only need 1 or 2, take a look at your motherboard, floppy drive, hard drive, and peripheral cards. Chances are, a couple are unused, and either clipped onto only one pin (not shorting/connecting 2 pins), or are in a position identified as "spare".

Two other work-arounds are: 1) pick up some wire-wrapping wire from Radio Shack, strip 3/4" of of the end, wrap it around and around the pins you need connected, then trim off the spool with a pair of diagonal cutters or wire scissors; 2) look for two pin-plugs connected to a wire lead -- if you have an old clone computer case, you may have this ready-made on the reset button's connection to the motherboard. Clip the leads, strip 1/8", twist it together, and cover with a 22 guage splice or electrician's tape.
