Not sure if you mean hardware or software here. It is not a scam if it is a hardware converter. If you are talking about a software program that can do this, it's not possible.

Computers use one type of signal to send to the display (CRT or LCD) while TV's use what is called NTSC. The TV video and audio are also encoded into a carrier frequency that is analog while the computer's signal is digital. A PC to TV converter does just that. It breaks down the computer video and audio and re-assembles it to something a TV can understand.

www.smarthome.com has nice converters, here is a link for a wireless converter.

Word of caution. Stay away from Kworld products. This is a foreign-based company with very little support and because the price is right they have been able to slip their products into various vendors like tigerdirect and newegg. Also, TigerDirect has issues with some of their products so be careful of that company. I would use a local retail store so you can return the product easier if you do not like it. Also www.govconnection.com and www.cdwg.com are companies I deal with on a professional level and can be well trusted.

PC that you can see on your TV? like using your TV as a monitor? or using your TV as an internet browser?
if it seems like something you might like, $30 is really not much at all, I'm sure you spend more money on other funny things... get what you like, enjoy life.
