"If a crater was about to hit the earth in 23 hours..."

I would be immensely worried if a "crater" was about to hit the Earth..more so than if a huge asteroid, comet or meteor were to come crashing down on The Big Apple...

(eyes roll)

I might want to know about it so that I can finsih some unfinished business.

And a meteor hitting the earth would form a crater on the earth's surface. Craters dont drop down from space

Is this like being hit by a donut hole? Craters are the absence of material.

Were you perhaps thinking of a meteor?

Lets build millions of Space Shuttles (in 23 hours) and put as many people as we can into the cargo hold, and then we'll see if we can come up with something when we get up there... LOLOLOLOLOLOL

I would want to know where it was going to hit so I could stand in that exact spot and watch it come to me. I'd never feel a thing because I would be completely incinerated in a millisecond and I'm not going to die slowly in nuclear winter.
